RESEARCH EMPHASIS

Chemical Oceanography and Limnology. Trace element cycling and tracer applications in natural water systems using stable and radioactive isotopes. Sediment-water and particle-water interactions, with emphasis on colloids. Colloids Geochemistry. Mobility of radioactive and toxic trace contaminants in surface waters, sediments and ground water. Use of accelerator and thermal ionisation mass spectrometry in marine chemistry
 

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Graduate courses in "Geochemical Oceanography" and "Radioactivity in the Environment", at the Swiss Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland; Undergraduate courses in "Chemical Oceanography", "Geological Oceanography", "Environmental Chemistry", and "Environmental Geology", and graduate courses in "Isotope Geochemistry" at Texas A&M University.
